Classical Music Composition

Hello! This is my composition for the theme of classical music! At first this topic seemed very hard (as last term I had just done the cover composition of 'Believer' which was extremely stressful to put together) so I was very scared for how it would turn out. The motif, the theme we had to write about in our piece seemed very easy and light so I got to it. The motif is one from Haydn named Symphony no. 94, which sounds amazing with its different techniques to change the original motif  into a entire piece. Inspiration from the piece led me to the finished product.

Week

Week 1 contains the week of when I first started to plan my piece by adding instruments into a graphic notation so I can get a stable backing. So I have decided to use; Clarinet for the melody, a backing Clarinet and a third woodwind for the chordal accompaniment.

Week 2 contains the date of finishing the first 12 bars and adding a new technique 'retrograde'. I converted one of the backing clarinet's to a violin to add some spice and it sounds good. The notation plan is up to date with bars 1-14 completed.

This week was another reconstruction of the original motif turning it backwards. I have also fixed up the piece to make the other parts go in a harmony with each other so that it sounds good.

Week

Finishing up the bars to 30 so that I know I am at and around the finish mark so that the teacher can check and give feedback for to help me improve the piece further. Double-checked it to see if it sounds good and nothing clashes. Need confirmation from teacher.
