Entertainment

Nearly every family gathering, back in England, I would play a piece of music I'd been working on. It was almost like a tradition which would make evreyone smile.

Beginning

I never knew my love for music until the age of 9. We were given instruments in my primary school music class. A clarinet was my instrument and I loved it.

Family

My family loves music. We are practically addicted to this fabulous sensation. I play 4 instruments for crying out loud! My dad always loved music. He'd go out to all sorts of concerts. My brother owns a drum set and plays the piano.

Technology

Back in England, at my school we used to do a system where we wrote music one week then performed music the next. It was a good system because we learnt good techniques used by other creators.

ABOUT MY PROJECT

Documenting My Work

My projects are very important if I ever become a musician.

All my assessments and projects will be seen here. Also if you are looking for my work that I am completing at school; then you are looking at the wrong place. Music is like a massive project for me because sometimes during class I grab a pencil and notebook and make some music up. Like a 10 second riff or something. At times I would decide to experiment and tap my hand on the table for a rhythm, hum for a melody etc.

Bass Guitar.jfif

Guitar isn't as easy for me to play even though I have been playing it for 4 years now. But the bass guitar is really new for me. Yes, I am in possession of a bass guitar due to the fact that I was given it as a Christmas present makes me very lucky.

But to be perfectly honest I thought I had gotten a bazooka or something.

Pianiosps.jfif

Back in England I used to be play piano for fun. I would search up a song on YouTube and copied it which gradually got me to play it. Around 1 year later in year 8, my parents signed me up for piano lessons. I found it challenging at first because the first thing I learnt was chords. And I actually thought I was going to be getting a guitar.

guiiiiiitar.jfif

Guitar was the first instrument I ever learnt to play. Only got to grade 1, I did. Chords was always a struggle but I managed to get a handle of only a few. B, A, and D. That spells out B.A.D. because I am bad at playing Guitar. (this wasn't intentional). But! When I got to secondary school that was when it hit me... I needed to learn how to play the bass.

clariiiiiiiinet.jfif

The clarinet was always an easy instrument to play at times. Although the notes got tricky to play, I kept continuing so that I can get better and more fluent. I continued to learn the clarinet all the way to Year 8 at my secondary school; where I graduated for my grade 3 and soon to be be grade 4.
